Cheered on by JRM Racing guests, Team GB Olympic Gold Medalists in canoe slalom double C2, Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott, the JRM Racing crew of David Brabham, Karun Chandhok and Peter Dumbreck finished the 6 Hours of Silverstone in seventh position, fourth in the privateer class.

Silverstone qualifying session sees JRM Racing edge even closer to the competition

JRM Racing enjoyed a solid qualifying session in preparation for the fourth round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Silverstone. Karun Chandhok qualified in seventh position, just half a second from fourth and the fastest privateer car, marking the strength and depth of the competition in this year’s series, and just how far JRM Racing has come since entering the championship at the start of this year. This came in spite of a gearbox issue in the earlier practice, which cost the team almost all the running in the morning.

JRM Racing enjoys positive day of running at Silverstone

JRM Racing’s preparations for its home race, the 6 Hours of Silverstone, got underway today with two 90 minute practice sessions. The #22 crew of David Brabham, Karun Chandhok and Peter Dumbreck completed more than 400km over the day, with a programme designed to consolidate the solid two day test with the HPD ARX-03a held at Aragon, Spain, last week.

Ten weeks after finishing its inaugural Le Mans 24 Hours in a superb sixth place overall and second in the privateers’ classification, JRM Racing takes on its next challenge this weekend, the 6 Hours of Silverstone, the fourth round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship. Based in Rye, East Sussex, with a significant proportion of the crew of British nationality, the Silverstone round will very much be a home event for the team.
