Performance, driveability, reliability and affordability are the four words woven into the FIA World Championship winning DNA of the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

The car represents the first commercially available, ready-to-race model officially available from Nissan. It is designed to comply with FIA GT3 regulations and therefore, is eligible for most International and domestic sports car championships around the world.
Designed with customers in mind, the car is built on a chassis that inspires confidence and features easily adjusted suspension and controls to suit a range of driver preferences. The 3.8 V6 twin-turbo engine is based on the proven road car unit, with its 500+ horsepower delivered via a six-speed transaxle driving the rear wheels, activated by a semi-automatic paddle-shift system.
Following two years of highly-successful competition in the FIA GT1 World Championship – which culminated in winning the 2011 Drivers’ title - JRM forged an additional partnership with NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International Co. Ltd.) to assist in the development, testing and build programs of the Nissan GTR Nismo GT3.
For JRM, the project started life in 2011 with a full development programme that included a series of extensive tests at a variety of circuits, followed by participation in a number of key GT races in Europe. Encouraged by the data gained and the performance of the car during its rigorous six-months of development, the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 was officially launched outside of Japan in January 2012 at Autosport International. Orders were soon received and cars were made ready and delivered for the start of the 2012 season.
During the year, a number of outright victories were recorded in Europe and Japan, with drivers repeatedly impressed with all aspects of the car: from its straight line speed, to its confidence inspiring handling and stability through corners. It has also proved to be one of the fastest GT3 cars in the wet, due to its drivability and excellent levels of grip.
Since its launch, JRM and NISMO have continued to develop the car, with emphasis placed on the aerodynamics, engine, chassis and transmission. The 2013 specification update is now available and features a range of improvements that will appear on all new cars. The update is also be available to customers with 2012 models, subject to terms and conditions.
