Rally After Sales

Aftersales support

All Gp N and NR4 Subaru WRX STI customers receive JRM’s aftersales support service, which includes a dedicated account manager and an engineering support package as a minimum.

When a car is complete, each customer receives a full technical handover at our Daventry headquarters. This event is supported by our experienced engineering team that is headed up by our NR4 engineering manager.

The vehicle handover also includes a basic shakedown at an agreed location to ensure a confident and complete experience for the car’s new owner. Our test driver, Terry Kaby, can attend this shakedown if the customer feels this is required. This cost may be charged to the customer.

As part of our official base team partnership with STI, we stock an extensive range of production category spare parts that are readily available to customers. We can also provide technical assistance.

As well as also building up an extensive stock of the latest parts to fit the NEW NR4 Subaru WRX STI, JRM also hold spare parts stock to fit the majority of Subaru production rally cars from model year MY08 onwards.

The stock list includes:

  • Bodywork
  • Brake discs/pads
  • Dampers
  • Steering racks
  • Engines
  • Gearboxes
  • Clutches
  • TCAs
  • Lateral links
  • Hubs
  • Wishbones

JRM offer customers a comprehensive production rally car rebuild service at their Daventry, UK headquarters, including:

  • Facilities for the rebuild of entire cars for customer teams
  • Rebuilds of major units like engines, gearboxes and diffs
  • All engines are tested on the in-house dyno rig for sign-off to strict performance and reliability requirements
  • Sub-assembly department for rebuilds of serviceable parts that include hubs, driveshafts, brake discs and brake calipers

JRM and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) formed an official base team partnership at the end of 2013 with the goal to design, engineer and deliver exceptional production-specification Subaru rally cars onto the world stage.

Thanks to the engineering talents and facilities at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Daventry, Northamptonshire, JRM produced a formidable Gp N specification Subaru WRX STI sedan – the first of its type in Europe – in 2014 that recorded great success in the FIA European Rally Championship, followed by production of the first NR4 Subaru WRX STI that won the Wales Rally GB production class and finished 20th overall.

The NEW NR4 Subaru WRX STI signals the beginning of the next chapter in JRM's manufacturer rallying programme.

To build rally-winning cars, you need a team of rally-winning engineers. JRM has assembled just that to drive its new NR4 programme forward.

Many of the engineers at the heart of the project have experience at the highest level of international competition and have successfully engineered Subaru rally cars to FIA World Rally Championship titles.

The JRM team includes:

Eddie Corr

Has led and managed various high-profile rally programmes around the world and has engineered cars that have won everywhere from the forests in Russia to Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. Now our NR4 engineering manager.

Steve Jakeman

One of our skilled engine technicians, Steve has been building competition engines for 20 years and has a wealth of experience working with Subaru competition cars.

Kevin Locke

Kevin also works in our engine shop and has been preparing strong and reliable competition engines for two decades. Has built many championship and race-winning engines during his career.

Nick Taylor

An experienced transmission engineer that has played a leading role in many successful Subaru rally projects. Now a senior JRM transmission engineer.

Graham Smith / Carl Brown / Mark Hewins

All experienced technicians that have masterminded many rally-winning Subaru projects. All now have senior roles within JRM as number one technicians.

STI –rally success at all levels

JRM is proud of its exclusive base team partnership with STI and we are driven by a desire to enhance the brand’s rich and successful heritage in international rallying, particularly in the production category.

Rallying has been at the heart of STI for close to 25 years. Subaru cars have won six FIA Production Car World Rally Championship titles in the last decade alone and the Japanese manufacturer has won 47 world rallies outright, as well as three world drivers’ titles and three world manufacturers’ crowns since 1995.
