Countdown to:

PRO Team

The goal of all JRM programmes is to create a pool of highly-experienced drivers that can use their skills to graduate to a full PRO car racing programme.

Sean Walkinshaw’s successes in 2015 enabled him to become a NISMO Athlete and earn a race seat in the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN squad PROAM car for its assault on the 2016 Blancpain GT Series, thus bringing him a step closer to the full PRO line-up.

Nissan GT Academy Team RJN is a championship-winning PRO and PROAM team that has a proven track record in the GT3 category, most recently winning the Blancpain Endurance PRO Cup in 2015. For 2016, Team RJN will run a PRO car in the full Blancpain GT Series.

The Nissan GT Academy Team RJN squad isn’t adverse to recruiting drivers from varied background and that’s great news for young drivers just starting their GT careers.

Briton Alex Buncombe joined the PRO team in 2015 and gained NISMO Athlete status after building an impressive reputation in other formulae, while his 2016 team-mates come from equally varied racing backgrounds. Lucas Ordonez won the GT Academy initiative, while Mitsunori Takaboshi impressed in Japan’s Formula Challenge series.
