Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt Jnr got behind the wheel of the JRM Bentley Continental GT3 for the first round of the Championship at Oulton Park on Easter Monday, chalking up their first win for the Daventry team. JRM’s team of engineers and mechanics worked long hours testing variables, honing the new generation Bentley to the championship-winning driving duo’s style to put the two talented drivers at the top of the podium.
Debuting their new black, grey and red livery, JRM’s impressive race car was put through its paces over the British GT track under the April sunshine. Starting fourth on the grid following Saturday’s qualifying, Parfitt started the race, quickly taking position before moving on to lead the race.
Jason King JRM Managing Director comments “Rick has put in an incredible drive to get us to the front in Round 1. With a smooth pit and driver change, Seb was primed to bring home the win and that’s exactly what he did. The JRM Racing team have been working around the clock to learn the car inside out and gather vital data to help optimize set-up. Working with an established driver pairing like Rick and Seb has given us a significant advantage and helped us go through the car efficiently. I’m immensely proud of my team to have gotten us here in top form to secure the first win of the season.”
Nick Burns, Bentley Head of Motorsport says “Having a Bentley on the podium for the first round is fantastic but to have secured a win with JRM Racing as a new team is incredible. Rick worked hard to get to the front and then hold the lead after qualifying P4, both drivers put in an impressive performance and got the best out of our new Second Generation Continental GT3. A perfect start to the Championship for JRM Racing.”
